We shall visit the house again. It is such a beautiful place. Thank you so much for renting it out, and for putting in so much effort to make it the place it is. I have loaded our pictures onto Facebook, and we have received so many comments from friends! We all enjoyed our stay so much. The house and garden are just magical!

Casa del Mulino is a delightful retreat nestled in the hills near Cortona, Italy. It is close to many amenities and within easy reach of Cortona, Arezzo, or Perugia by car and Rome or Florence by rail. The main house can accommodate 6-8 people comfortably, with plentiful gardens and trails, olive groves and vineyards. It is a wonderful location to relax with a good book, or to use as a base for exploring on day-trips.

Our stay at the Casa del Mulino was delightful. I especially enjoyed the gardens and the sculptures contained within them.

This house is nicely located at about 10 minutes from the very beautiful town of Cortona and usually no more than an hour’s drive of some of Tuscany’s main attractions. The building has been tastefully restored, and the setting and views are exquisite. Returning to the house after a day out to take a dip in the pool and relax in the beautiful garden is a delight.

This was my first stay here, but I will be back. Next time I will bring a road bike, as the surrounding area (especially the Val di Chiana) is a dream come true for cycling enthusiasts or cyclotourists. Highly recommended.

We rented this Tuscan farmhouse for one month in the fall of 2012 and found it to be all we hoped for. The house is cozy with a modern bathroom, living room and bedroom on the main floor with a rustic kitchen, with all you need, opening onto the south facing veranda where we often had breakfast. The other bedrooms were in the downstairs walk out which we didn’t use.

The view across the Chiana valley with the olive trees in the foreground is outstanding. The house and yard are totally private. The yard has one discovery after another with statues, flowers , olive trees, wine grapes, and pathways that lead you down to the stream running below the mill. The grapes could be picked off of the vines in the yard and were sweet and delicious.

A great home base as we took the train to Rome for a few days as well as Florance and Venice. A car is a must. It takes about 15 minutes to get into Camucia and Cortona. It’s a short drive to many nearby hill towns and to Lake Tasimeno . The owners were most helpful and have a caretaker living close by that would help with any problems. There were none. We felt right at home there and would stay there again.

This property is a true find. It is original, done with care, love and deep understanding of the Tuscan culture. it is apparent, that the owners must be cultivated, sophisticated people as there is art all around the property, interesting garden features, surprising places to find why strolling around that tell little stories.

The view into the Val di Chiana with the mystical Monte Amiata in the background is unforgettable: you can mentally travel back in time to Etruscan, Roman, renaissance times just sitting there on the terrace and enjoying this magnificent panorama. The old Etruscan town of Cortona is just 10 minutes away and the best Tuscany and Umbria has to offer is all around you in a radius of 1 hour: Florence, Siena, Assisi to name just the obvious.

There is a pool to cool down after a trip into the beauty around you. We had the best time here in 2014 and will definitely be back.

We have stayed in this farmhouse twice now and plan to do so again. It is clean, the setting is very private, the walks are amazing and the porch the perfect place to drink coffee in the morning and wine in the evening.

A car is beneficial as the surrounding villages are beautiful to visit. You are close to the train station but would need a taxi to get to the farmhouse.

The downstairs bedrooms have a separate entrance, which was perfect for our teenagers. I have already recommended this property to others.

I cannot say enough about how accommodating the owners have been to us and how prompt they are at answering questions.
